We had an absolute blast on Tuesday 17th March 2026 delivering our Seminar to the Market Harborough & Welland – University of the 3rd Age – Do It Again Group.
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, including me and it was fabulous to see so many women wanting to give it a go too.
We learned about Japanese language and culture and got through tons of physical work which is testament to this groups fantastic approach to hard work, learning and resilience.
Over this two hour long session we took everyone through their paces and explored basic traditional Shotokan Karate techniques including some stances, punches, blocks, kicks, kata (sequence of movements), kumite (sparring) and we even managed to do some self defence techniques too.
Thank you to everyone for being so willing to “give it a go” with such great spirit and a special thanks to Judy for organising everything and to Chris (1st dan black belt) for being my uke and helping with the demonstrations.
