2023 has been another amazing year at Kokoro Karate Dojo.
Along with continuing to steadily increase student numbers at our current locations we also;
- Proudly became a NAKMAS direct affiliate
- Gained NAKMAS Safe Kids and Equality Awareness accreditation
- Renewed and improved our Sports First Aid training to VTQ Level 3
- In March we opened our fabulous new dojo at Market Harborough which has already grown to two sessions per week
- November saw the opening of another great dojo at Sharnford Community Centre
- Held our first and hugely successful and rewarding Black Belt Grading
- Put on numerous free karate taster days for Beavers, Scouts, Schools, etc… across Leicestershire
We taught karate in our dojos for a total of 648 hours which equates to a staggerring 38,880 minutes or 2,332,800 seconds, each and every second was spent improving our techniques, fitness, stamina, reactions, speed and learning new kata and skills.
Thank you to each and every one of you who have contributed to the wonderful karate family that we are, for the gallons of sweat, the tons of effort and the acres of joyful memories we have made.
We are looking forward to a great 2024 with eager anticipation
